George Redmon, N.D. was born in Edenton, North Carolina and resided most of his life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors and earned his Bachelor's degree in health in 1974. In that same year he was honored as a member of Who's Who Among College Students In America. Dr. Redmon is a naturopathic physician, a graduate of the Clayton School of Natural Healing, The American Holistic College of Nutrition, and Walden University (1994) where he earned his Ph.D. He has developed a twenty-year career specializing in holistic healthcare. His work has been published in American Fitness.

He is a member of the South Jersey Holistic Health Association; the Holistic Health Association of Princeton, New Jersey; the Doctoral Association of New York Educations, Healthier Lifestyles; and the Herbal Healer Academy. Dr. Redmon serves as a consultant to the Center for Stress Pain and Wellness in Wilmington, Delaware; is on the advisory board of the Clayton School of Natural Health; and teaches as an adjunct faculty member with the Washington Township School system in Sewell, New Jersey. He currently resides in Sicklerville, New Jersey with his wife Brenda, and their son George.

Besides his two works published by Hohm Press, Dr. Redmon is also the author of several other books, including Minerals: What Your Body Really Needs and Why (Avery Publishing, 1999).
